Cummins China Engines
There are 6 Cummins engine joint venture plants in China, which Xi’an Cummins is the factory producing QSM11 engines that has been widely used in Belaz 7540E mining dump truck. Chongqing Cummins producing Cummins NTA855, KTA19, KTA38, KTA50, QSK19, QSK38, QSK50, QSK60 mechanical and electronic engines, beside of NTA855 engines, all of rest Cummins engine models produced in Chongqing Cummins engine plant are widely used in all kinds of Belaz mining dump truck.
Cummins UK/USA Engines
Beside of Cummins engine models produced in China, there are some other Cummins engine models using in Belaz mining dump truck and not produced in China, which including QSX15, QSK23, QST30, QSK45, QSK78 etc. Cummins QSK23 is not used in Belaz truck directly, but it is widely used in all different kinds of excavators, such as Hitachi, Komatsu etc, which is always working together with Belaz minning dump truck. Cummins QSK45 engines is no longer in production, however, customers can using QSK38 or QSK50 engine to replace Cummins QSK45 engine, which already done by many mining companies for the Belaz and Liebherr machines. Becareful of being cheated by rebuild QSK45 engine which selling as brand new engines, which many companies doing this now!
Cummins QSK60 Engine-G-drive is better
As the major products line of Belaz, 180-240 tons payload capacity mining dump truck has a wide products line, which Cummins QSK60 engines are used in the Belaz 7530 and 7531 series dump trucks. The demand of Cummins QSK60 engines become very hot recently, however, all of the Cummins QSK60 engines used in Belaz mining dump truck is old version which equipped with HPI fuel system, while all the latest Cummins QSK60 industrial engines are equipped with Cummins MCRS fuel system, this brings problems for customer to replace their old QSK60 engines. While Cummins QSK60 generator set drive engine still equipped with HPI fuel system, which is a best option to replace Cummins QSK60-C engine in Belaz mining dump truck, considering both technical and economics.
MTU Indusrial Engines from Germany
MTU engines has been widely used in 130-450 Tons Belaz mining dump truck, covers Belaz 7513, 7517, 7530, 7531, 7560, 7571 series dump trucks. Belaz using MTU DD 12V4000 in its 7513 and 7517 series mining dump truck, MTU DD 16V4000 engine has been used in Belaz 7530 and 7531 series mining dump truck, MTU DD 20V4000 engine has been used in Belaz 7560 series mining dump truck, while two sets of engine power merged together to power Belaz 7571 series dump trucks. EMAC provides one-stop Germany produced MTU engine and parts solutions for mining dump truck applications.
Repower Your Machine with Chinese Engines!
Due to restriction of supply, long lead time, high purchase costs and high fuel consumption, it is quite popular in China to repower the excavator and mining dump truck with Chinese brand engines, which has been widely used in Komatsu, Hitachi excavator and some mining dump trucks. The latest designed Chinese diesel engines adopts common rail fuel system, which the fuel consumption is much more better than old designed Cummins engines, meanwhile the durability also proven in the market after decades of years of improving, with the price is less than half of Cummins, MTU engines, this is one of the option that favorable by customers.
